Immune Thrombocytopenia Purpura is a blood disorder where your auto immune system mistakenly attacks and kills your platelets, the part of your blood responsible for clotting. Without platelets, you can have severe bruising and purpura all over, nose bleeds, stomach bleeds and even life threatening brain bleeds. I was diagnosed with ITP just around my 16th birthday and this disease changed my life. It was the start of the rollercoaster of illness, anxiety, fear, depression, and many different trial treatments. My future was so uncertain.

This year I will walk with close family and friends in memory of Luca, an ITP Warrior who lost his battle at the age of only 10; a boy I would have loved to have known. I continue to aim to spread awareness and raise funds for this rare disease.
