Virtual Pump It Up for Platelets 2020

Bad Blood Bruisers

Thank you for taking the time to visit My Team Page!

My name is Madison Carroll and I was diagnosed with ITP in September 2014. Since being diagnosed, many things in my life have changed from getting blood work done extemely frequently, on rare occasions having to receive IV transfusions or having to take medications with such lenghty and severe side effects that the thought of taking them brings me to tears. And of course the bruising with no end in sight.

In the beginning of my diagnoses and treatment things were rough and felt as though they would never get better but, I have been extremely lucky to have such a supportive husband and family! In the last 6 years I have grown and learned so much about what I choose to be significant and have importance in my life. While this disease has no cure, I am hopeful that with continued awareness of this disease through organizations like PDSA (Platelet Support Disorder Association) that more people will be able  to find the right treatment and support that they need.

Please help my team reach our fundraising goal of $500 as we run, walk, and bike through the month of September!

Don't forget that Septemeber 25th is Sport Purple for Platelets Day! Wear purple and raise awareness!
