Jayden's Crew

Hello everyone!

My name is Tiffany and my 3 year old daughter Jayden was diagnosed with ITP in march of 2017. Even if this is a short lived diagnosis I would love to help out in anyway that we can because it has still hit our family and changed our lives. My husband and I started seeing brusing on our daughter in february after a nasty cold that hit our household hard. Jayden was sick and on mutiple antibiotics and our not even 1 month old baby girl had caught RSV and in childrens hospital of Pittsburgh for a week. We asked out PCP when the baby went for a 2 month check up in february if she saw anything concerning and she hadn't seen anything that was too worrying. In march i couldn't take it anymore more bursing was worse and more often. Then on march 15th she had red freckles I had called them everywhere. I took her to the walk in clinic and we were went for STAT labs. Then and there our world changed her counts were only a 2,000. We were sent and admitted to childrens hospital of pittsburgh. There has been lots of ups and downs with this like its expected and we just are ready to help bring awareness of ITP because just like many people dont know about it we had no clue what it was either.

Year 2!! We were ruled remission november 2017. We had a few random nose bleeds and some checks and everything was fine. Until about april. More nose bleeds. This time she was tested for Von wilebrand and it came back positive. Then also in aug her numbers fell from the 300s down to 90. We have had counts rechecked a few times within normal range but dr isnt sure what to think yet, With sick season coming who knows what will happen! But shes still my trooper! Cant take wait to see everyone!!
