Welcome to My Personal Page
I was diagnosed with ITP in December of 2011, a disease that at the time, we had never heard of. It sent us on a path of suddenly dealing with not only all the side effects and complications that came with it, but also trying to understand what this blood disease was, what might have caused it, and how to get it under control. It took 2 years to of treatments to get my ITP under control and manageable, but at the cost of other complications that I still have and monitor at least every 8 weeks with my doctor. ITP will always be with me, every day for the rest of my life. It may lay dormant for years and then flare with little or no warning.
Finding the PDSA has been amazing for my family. Being able to connect with those who work there and other members was life changing at a time when I felt so alone because I'd never heard of this disease and knew no one else who had it. Finding others to connect with makes it all a lot less lonely.
Thank you for considering a donation to the PDSA and for joining my fundraising efforts! My overall goal for this year's event is to raise $5,000!
